Since 2001, six research projects have employed the Community Voice Method. They have taken place in fourteen North Carolina counties, the Qualla Boundary. More than 1100 people have participated in these projects, which are described in more detail below.

2010-2011, Warren County, NC. Identified opportunities for building a local farming/food economy in a rural county.

Turks and Caicos Islands Turtle Project
2010, TCI. The first international CVM project; involved fishermen in discussing sea turtle management.

Change in Coastal Communities
2008-09, Down East Carteret County, NC. Explored the effects of development on a coastal region.

Mountain Landscapes Initiative
2008, western NC. A seven-county regional project to promote conversation about growth management.

Little Tennessee Perspectives
2004-05, Macon County, NC. The first complete CVM project.

Perspectives on Land
2001-04, NC’s southern Piedmont. Used film to engage four communities in discussing land conservation.
